Position Summary

Intern working as a member of the Human Resources Team during the Summer 2026.

Learning Opportunities

  • Work with our Learning Management Systems; assignments, updates, and reports
  • Update our Talent Development SharePoint site
  • Contact colleagues within the lines of business and work with them to update courses
  • Research external courses, university information and ideas for new initiatives
  • Assist with preparation and facilitation of our intern course, Young Professionals Workshop
  • Assist with preparation and planning for New Employee Orientation with our Talent Acquisition Team
  • Observe interviews with the Talent Acquisition Team
  • Participate in a Partner Visit with our Employee Engagement Team
  • Assist with a wellness initiative with our Employee Benefits Team

Essential Requirements

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.
  • Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.

Internship Basics

  • 10-to-12-week summer duration desired, flexible start and end dates.
  • 40-hour anticipated work week, Monday through Friday.
  • On-Site in South Bend, IN.
  • Paid opportunity.
  • Program Activities: Orientation Kick-off and networking opportunities with other Interns, Colleagues and Senior Management.

Experience/Skills

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in human resources or business desired.
  • Pursuing a career in banking.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word) is essential.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize workload and manage multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
