Job Description

The Role -

Developing Interior Trim, Seat/Safety Restraint, Thermal Propulsion Integration & ECS parts with the customer's desired design by considering the design and package of the vehicle and reviewing the feasibility of the parts. And technical solution for new program by performing sub-system design analysis and utilizing Best Practices.

1. Interior Trim & Seat/Safety Restraint DRE

  • IP/Floor Console/Deco & Lighting
  • Door Trim/Overhead & Hard Trim/Carpet & Acoustic Trim
  • Seat & Safety Restraint Engineering

2. Thermal Propulsion Integration DRE

  • HVAC-Cabin Engineering
  • PTC & HVAC-Under-Hood Engineering

3. Energy Conversion system

  • Power train and Electrification development

What You’ll Do -

1. Participate in research to optimize and robustify systems based on vehicle requirements (regulations/performance/safety) and development processes.

2. Develop Interior Trim, Seat&Safety, Thermal Propulsion Integration, and ECS components that meet customer design specifications, considering vehicle design and packaging while reviewing part formability and assembly feasibility.

3. Provide design concepts, component requirements, and program requests for Interior Trim, Seat & Safety, Thermal Propulsion Integration, and ECS products to support global and regional vehicle development.

4. Participate in continuous research activities to improve quality and enhance cost competitiveness for Interior Trim, Seat & Safety, Thermal Propulsion Integration, and ECS components.

5. Contribute to optimization design and technology development activities for Interior Trim, Seat&Safety, Thermal Propulsion Integration, and ECS components in eco-friendly, advanced technology vehicles such as electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) -

Majors Required:

STEM-related majors such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Chemical & Materials Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc.

Eligibility:

  • Graduates or students expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a 4-year accredited university by February 2026
  • Language Proficiency: TOEIC score of 700 or higher
  • OPIC and TOEIC Speaking/Writing scores will be converted to TOEIC equivalents (OPIC: IM2 or above, TOEIC Speaking: Level 6 or above)
  • Graduates or expected graduates from overseas universities are exempt from submitting a TOEIC score
  • GPA: Minimum cumulative GPA of B (3.0/4.5 scale) or higher
  • Must be available for full-time internship
  • Preference will be given to veterans and individuals eligible for employment protection under applicable laws

  • Automotive industry experience
  • Internship experience in GM Korea or GMTCK

  • A stipend will be provided in accordance with company policy, based on actual internship days.
  • This internship is conversion-track, and full-time employment may be offered based on performance evaluation upon completion of the internship.
