In today’s fast-paced logistics environment, efficiency, responsiveness, and sustainability are essential. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on four forward-thinking initiatives designed to support Vanderlande’s service operations in Amazon fulfillment and sort centers (AMZ FCs):
1. Assist in further development and enhancement of Vandabot
Developed by the Vanderlande Services team, the Copilot chatbot is designed to support Service Desk engineers and, indirectly, Amazon business units by providing rapid access to essential technical information.
Key Features:
This tool empowers new and less experienced engineers to navigate systems more effectively, helping to reduce downtime and improve ticket resolution efficiency.
As with any software, continuous development and improvement are essential throughout its lifecycle. The intern involved in this project is expected to understand the solution thoroughly and take a leading role in its evolution.
2. TAISA (TICO AI Service Agent):
Assist in further enhancing a smart AI-powered MS Teams assistant to support TICO’s first-line team. This assistant will enhance service response times, alleviate pressure on second-line teams, and foster trust through instant, accurate answers.
3. Sustainability in Amazon DSD (Dedicated Service Desk):
Assist in building a smart energy monitoring and reduction system in our Shark Tank workspace. Using smart plugs and automation, this initiative aims to reduce unnecessary energy consumption and track savings.
4. Collaboration with DSP (Digital Service Platform):
Need to represent DSD in the DSP-led initiative to build an Agentic AI solution. In this project, our role is primarily that of a key stakeholder rather than being directly involved in the development of the Agentic AI itself.
These projects offer high-impact, visible outcomes with real-world application and innovation.
You will be joining the AMZ DSD (Amazon Dedicated Service Department) team within Vanderlande’s Service business unit. The team operates at the intersection of high-performance logistics, customer support, and technical innovation, closely collaborating with global AMZ FCs and various internal departments. The working environment is dynamic and multidisciplinary, where collaboration, creativity, and initiative are highly valued. Interns are treated as full team members, actively contributing to impactful projects and strategic discussions.
