Job Description:

Huntsman is seeking for a Payroll Analyst to support the HR Shared Services Organization located in Heredia, Costa Rica. This position will report to the Regional Payroll Manager.

Payroll Processing:

  • Prepare, audit, and process bi-weekly, monthly and semimonthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now and ADP Vantage)
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, bonuses, and commissions.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Run post-payroll processes such as accounting, funding and controls.
  • System Integration & Data Management:
  • Maintain and audit employee data in ADP to ensure accuracy and alignment with ADP.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including tax filings, W-2s, ad-hoc reports.
  • Support audits and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve accuracy.
  • Assist in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new payroll features.
  • Employee and Stakeholder Support:
  • Respond to inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and timekeeping.
  • Provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

You must possess the following minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.
  • Candidates must be willing to work onsite on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additional office days may be required as needed or during corporate visits.
  • Resumes in Spanish will not be considered.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (B2).
  • 3+ years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or ADP Vantage
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Valid passport and Visa

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification.
  • Experience with payroll reporting and analytics.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping systems and integrations.
  • 1+ year of Workday experience.
  • Advance excel knowledge.
  • Experience processing Canada Payroll.
  • Experience processing Latam Payroll (Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia).
  • ServiceNow knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing circumstances.
