Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our residents in rehabilitation and long-term care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to resident care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Provide support in mobility and transportation of residents using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Document resident care activities accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to implement resident care plans and report any changes in resident conditions.
  • Support residents with special needs, Alzheimer’s disease, or dementia care requirements.
  • Engage in effective communication with residents and their families to provide emotional support and education regarding care plans.

Experience:

Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:

  • Experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation processes is essential.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, or individuals requiring hospice care is beneficial.
  • Previous caregiving experience in home care or community settings will be considered an asset. We welcome individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality resident care and are eager to contribute positively to our healthcare team.
