Team Introduction

The Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyperscale datacenters. The team manages the end to end lifecycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions and various infrastructure services ensuring that they are scalable and are reliable.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at ByteDance aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Watch your ambitions become reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at ByteDance.

Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions and will be considered for jobs in the order you apply. The application limit is applicable to ByteDance and its affiliates' jobs globally.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to troubleshoot, repair and replace faulty components within a server.
  • Learn to troubleshoot networking devices and cabling.
  • Learn to interpret a server break fix ticketing system to determine what is required to address a server issue.
  • Learn how to manage data center inventory and assets.
  • Learn industry-recognized processes like change management and disaster recovery plans to manage data center availability risk(s).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate currently studying at a university or Polytechnic enrolling in either Engineering, Facility or related Disciplines
  • Equivalent professional experience/certification in Engineering or facility management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Be willing to learn about how hyperscale Data Center works starting from the basics
  • Be willing to learn and practice what you have learned on the job.
  • Be willing to create a positive work experience for everyone to contribute/learn/grow with mutual respect and dignity despite working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be willing to channel all creative energies to develop processes to make this a better workplace for everyone and avoid creating silos and division between teams.
