Working Student/ Internship: Neuromorphic Computing for Battery Management Systems (f/m/div)

We are looking for an intern or working student (min.10 h per week) who wants to develop spiking neural networks for automotive battery management systems. Job Description

Your work involves data preparation for spiking neural networks and network architecture search to reach state of the art performances. Your networks are intended to evaluate the benefits and limitations of neuromorphic computing for automotive applications. You will work closely together with engineers and researchers investigating future product requirements.

  • Experience research: You develop SNN-based algorithms for automotive use cases
  • Shape the future: You create an expandable benchmarking toolchain for different models
  • Keep the overview: You document the work and results for further research

Your Profile

  • Study field: You are currently studying for a Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Skills: You have very good Python skills
  • Experience: You ideally have knowledge in deep learning or neuromorphic computing
  • Interests: You are interested in automotive use cases
  • Way of working: You have good communication skills and an independent working style
  • Language skills: You have fluent English skills, both written and spoken

Important information if you would like to start as a working student:

  • Working part-time: The focus is on studies. Therefore, working student is possible during the lecture period with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: You must be enrolled, and the examination results or modules of your studies must not have been completed yet, so that you can still work in our team for at least 6 months. You must also not be in a semester of leave.
  • You should live close to the site: It is important for us to work with you on site and to integrate you into the team. You should therefore be able to come to the site regularly.
