About the Team

Join ByteDance’s Japan Publishing Team within our Gaming Division. We are responsible for the end-to-end marketing and publishing of all ByteDance game titles in the Japanese market.

1. Content Strategy and Execution

  • Develop content marketing strategies aligned with ByteDance's game marketing goals in Japan and negotiate collaboration terms.
  • Create engaging content and procure necessary resources, ensuring cultural relevance and user appeal.

2. Creator Collaboration Management

  • Source and select suitable Japanese content creators (e.g., cosplayers, illustrators).
  • Lead creative concept development, negotiate partnership agreements, and oversee project execution from initiation to completion.

3. Media Partnerships and Resource Coordination

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key Japanese media outlets, handling resource negotiation, content co - creation, and media buying.
  • Monitor and optimize the effectiveness of media - side content production based on performance data.

4. Industry Trend Monitoring

  • Stay updated on the latest news, trends, and competitor activities in Japan's gaming industry.
  • Regularly compile reports and provide actionable market insights for internal decision - making.

5. Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with other marketing and distribution teams as needed to support cross - channel campaigns.
  • Adapt to multiple roles and ensure seamless cross - departmental collaboration.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

1. Experience:At least 3 years of experience in game marketing in Japan, with a background in gaming companies, advertising agencies, or game media.

2. Language Skills:Japanese proficiency at N1 level or higher, demonstrating strong business communication skills in Japanese. Proficient Japanese speakers with business-level Chinese communication skills are also eligible. This language proficiency is essential for carrying out core work as it involves daily collaboration with clients/teams in Mainland China, handling Chinese business documents, or participating in Chinese-language meetings.

3. Personal Attributes:A strong sense of responsibility, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and willingness to work irregular hours, undertake business trips (including to cities like Shanghai, Beijing, or Guangzhou), or accept long-term assignments.

4. Industry Knowledge:Passionate about gaming and marketing, with substantial experience in the mobile gaming sector.

Preferred Qualification

1. Network:Candidates with established connections to major media outlets or content creators in Japan will be given preference.
