Sr. Processes Engineer main responsibility is to keep adequate ergonomics of manufacturing process, productive systems and environments to features, limitations, and user needs, to optimize its efficiency, comfort, and security.
Process adequacy shall include physical ergonomics, work postures, load handling, repetitive movements, musculoskeletal disorders, workspace layout.
In the process analysis, engineer shall consider human factors to study mental workload, decision process, production skills, and stress at work.
Engineer shall consider the organizational ergonomics considering the work stations design,
development times, work team and quality management.
Keep and/or create a satisfactory adaptation of work conditions for worker’s physical and mental characteristics to maintain worker’s adequate performance and quality, reduce physical injuries, and avoid errors.
Working together with other branches of process, industrial or manufacture engineering, engineer is responsible of analyzing conditions of workstations, detect, and control ergonomic risks.
Optimize interrelation of operative persons with technology used. Responsible of supervising and/or approving assembly machinery design for this to adapt to man, with technical responsible; ergonomic engineer shall consider machines, organizations, devices, formations that allow reaching production objectives, guaranteeing persons’ physical, mental, and social welfare
Select the most appropriate work methodology for the available personnel.
Oversees the design of productive systems to prevent issues before they can occur.
Solve problems that arise through process changes, introducing changes and improvements in the design with the goal of eliminate detected problems.
Take decisions based and/or grounded in guides or laws that regulate ergonomics and occupational health as they are Mexican Official Standards, and Internationals and National Standards.
Support with planning, coordination, and/or execution quality strategic impact projects, to cost, and/or product’s, processes and site equipment capacity.
Responsible of supporting operation with projects that positively impact budget, cost of poor quality, administrative processes performance improvement, manual or machine assembly. Derived from these, support in activities such as:
Documentation and/or validation plans change through change control.
Planning, execution, and validation closure.
Performance of Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) as support of changes documentation.
Performance of risk analysis as support of changes documentation.
Responsible of Project plan performance, update and identification of milestones that represent a risk to project.
Responsible of analyzing, writing, and manage CAPEX capital expenditures.
Responsible of supporting operation with lean manufacture projects or use of Six Sigma tools.
Responsible of performing flow charts and mapping processes with mean to identify activities that do not add value.
Involving responsible owners or delegates of process, is responsible of performing brainstorms or other methods to obtain improvement on analyzed processes.
Involving responsible owners or delegates of process, is responsible of performing pilot runs to test improvement proposals or maps of processes’ future.
Requirements:
Industrial, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or similar career.
Experience on change control and validations.
Bilingual (English / Spanish). (Required) .
Projects management.
Lean manufacturing training.
Statistical training.
Ergonomics and occupational health training.
Visa to travel to the US is required.
Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
LSS Green Belt certification is a plus.
Knowledgeable in OEA is a plus.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
