EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for a bachelor's or master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Collaborate with a world-class ASIC design team to develop cutting-edge chips for the Coherent Optics market.
- Develop ASIC design flows and create scripts to automate various design processes.
- Contribute to related design tasks as needed, including synthesis, rule checking, and other support activities.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems effectively and independently.
- Proficient in Python and/or other programming or scripting languages, with hands-on experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Coursework or prior experience in ASIC design is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Synopsys Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools is beneficial.
- Understanding of Verilog or SystemVerilog is advantageous.
- Exposure to machine learning and/or neural networks is a plus.
