Position Overview:

As a Quality Engineer on the Mercury Racing team, you will be responsible for coordination and execution of activities concerning Quality issues both internal and external to Mercury Racing. This includes both product quality and supplier quality. Product responsibilities include all products manufactured within Mercury Racing either for Racing specifically or produced for consumption at another Mercury facility.

Essential Functions:

  • ISO 9001:2015
    • Internal Audit and ISO periodic audit support
  • Supplier Development for selected key suppliers
    • Supplier Audit
    • Continuous Improvement Plans
  • Ensure New Product Development processes (APQP) are followed and completed in a timely manner.
    • Supplier Audits
    • PPAP requirements
    • PPAP completion and approval
  • Coordinate corrective action for all internal and external Quality issues
    • Problem Definition
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Preventative and Corrective action
    • Interplant
    • Supplier Audit
  • Drive warranty reduction related to CPR resolution
  • Support Receiving Inspection on a daily basis
  • Support MRB activities on a daily basis
  • Drawing approval

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 1 year of experience or prior internship / co-op experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQ Certification CQE, CQA, CQT
  • ISO 9001:2015 (Internal Auditor)
  • Knowledge of APQP
  • Knowledge of GD&T

The anticipated pay range for this position is $61,400 - $98,600 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
