As a Loads & System Engineer Intern in Barcelona, you’ll shape the next generation of clean energy by refining turbine models, performing sophisticated simulations, and interpreting data to drive real-world solutions. You’ll partner with specialists across fields, contribute to innovative tool development, and tackle technical challenges that matter. Every day, you’ll be encouraged to expand your skills, connect with experts, and play a vital role in accelerating the energy transition.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Refine and adapt wind turbine models for precise aeroelastic analysis.
• Run or Perform simulations across diverse operating scenarios using groundbreaking software such as BHawC.
• Evaluate and interpret data to enhance turbine reliability and efficiency.
• Partner with control and component teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Create and improve digital tools and methodologies that advance design capabilities and support emerging technologies.

What You Bring

• You are a recent graduate or in the final stages of a Master’s or PhD in Aeronautics, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
• You have knowledge in aerodynamics, structural design, dynamics, or control systems.
• You bring strong programming skills and experience in tool development or systems engineering. MATLAB is a plus.
• You have additional training in wind energy, such as wind turbine aerodynamics or performance, and familiarity with design standards like IEC61400-1 or DNVGL.
• You are fluent in English (Spanish is valuable) and thrive in a collaborative, international environment.

About the Team

You’ll join the Loads Design & Validation Department in Madrid, a diverse group of engineers dedicated to advancing wind turbine technology. The team’s mission is to drive innovation in wind turbine modeling, simulation, and validation, working together to tackle sophisticated technical challenges. You’ll be surrounded by colleagues who are committed to sustainability, personal growth, and supporting each other’s success.
