Job Title: Quality Control Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Greater Cincinnati area, focusing on quality control for construction and fabrication drawings. The role involves working within the fabrication shop of a mechanical contractor to ensure that mechanical systems, including plumbing and HVAC, are accurately built and assembled according to the drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Review shop drawings in the fabrication shop to ensure mechanical systems are correctly fabricated and assembled.
  • Inspect mechanical and plumbing systems in the fabrication shops before they are shipped to client job sites.
  • Conduct audits to assess compliance and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the fabrication team to provide guidance on building HVAC or mechanical systems.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in HVAC system design and inspection.
  • Experience with sheet metal design and assembly.
  • Expertise in mechanical and fabrication inspection.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings for HVAC and plumbing systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Possession of a 4-year or 2-year Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Understanding of fabrication drawings.
  • Interest in working for a mechanical contractor and in a fabrication shop environment.

Work Environment

The position is on-site, Monday through Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm. The role offers exposure to healthcare projects, education, data centers, and large commercial projects, providing a valuable opportunity for entry-level engineers to gain experience with a mechanical contractor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
