As a Qualcomm Hardware Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of hardware through trainings, product demonstrations, and the design, debug, test, and quality support of customer products. Qualcomm Hardware Application Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the potential application of company products that meet and exceed customer needs.

Job Function

• Support Qualcomm Wireless connectivity products from design into mass production phase, play consultant/expert role to guide customer design and troubleshooting, help or work with customer on wireless connectivity chipset debug
• Work with team to review customer's Block diagram/schematic/layout/test result and trouble shooting
• Provide wireless connectivity training and workshop to customers
• Work with sales and marketing team for pre- and post-sales support.
• Domestic/international travel is required.
• Responsibilities Skills/Experience
• Minimum of 6 years (with BS) or 5 years (with MS) WLAN hardware development experience
• Experience with at least one of the following areas: Analog / digital / mixed signal / RF test,
• Good knowledge on 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax WIFI standards and RF radio concepts
• Good communication skill and experience with customer support work is preferred
• WLAN and test environment debugging and optimization will be required;
• Familiar with usage of spectrum analyzer, wifi and BT tester such as Litepoint MX2, R&S CMW500 and CAD tools such as Allergo, OrCAD,PowerPCB etc, ADS or HFSS simulation tool is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English are required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
