As an R&D Tech II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in supporting research and development activities within our Honeywell Thermal Solutions (HTS) business unit. You will work alongside a team of talented engineers, technicians and designers to develop and test innovative solutions. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our R&D projects.

You will report directly to our R&D Supervisor and you'll work out of our Muncie, IN location.

In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the advancement of sustainable energy solutions. Your work will help drive the energy evolution and make a positive impact on the environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the design, development, and testing of innovative solutions
  • Conduct combustion testing to evaluate the performance of new technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test results and project progress

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct experiments and tests under the guidance of engineers and scientists
  • Collect and analyze data, and prepare reports on findings
  • Assist in the development and improvement of prototypes and products
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • H.S. Diploma or GED equivalence
  • Strong mechanical and/or fluid mechanic skills
  • Experience in Office application such as Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Familiarity with data acquisition equipment and test procedures
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Basic electrical knowledge
