Complete cost estimating for energy projects, including, but not limited to, raw materials, general contract labor, equipment and subcontract work utilizing bottom-up and unit pricing.

Prepare and maintain historical data. Prepare estimation reports in alignment with Client processes and standards and Jacobs best practices, and present findings to the team.

Responsible for helping prioritize workload for the estimating team to meet deliverable dates. Analyze specifications, including sketches, drawings, bills of material, and sample layouts, and calculating costs.

Here's what you'll need

  • 5+ years of estimating experience in Transmission & Substation projects.
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills
  • Experience at working both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment is essential
  • Analytical/problem-solving capabilities
  • Conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Promptly and efficiently react to project changes, remaining flexible to change
  • Adept at researching and resolving project-related issues
  • Proficient using MS Excel and MS Word
  • Demonstrated knowledge of estimating tools

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or related engineering field or any combination of training, education, and work experience.
  • Experience with experience with Autodesk, AutoCAD, and SAP
  • Experience with Energy Utility projects that are $25 million or above related to Large Load, Data Center, and Interconnections.

122,900.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

159,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $122,900.00 to $159,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
