Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a seasoned Sales Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the workshop services industry, specifically in the repair, rewinding, overhauling, and maintenance of large motors and generators. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background combined with excellent sales and customer relationship skills.

You will be part of Motion Business for Service division, based at Peenya- Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets for MG workshop services, including repair, rewinding, and overhauling of large motors and generators.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base by expanding the Authorized value provider network.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management
  • Technical Consultation: Provide technical expertise and consultation to clients, helping them understand the benefits and processes of the workshop services offered.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotations to clients, ensuring they meet their specific requirements and budget constraints.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth. • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and workshop teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status, providing regular reports to management.

Qualifications for the role

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the workshop services industry, with a focus on sales and business development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of large motors and generators including their maintenance and repair.
  • Proven track record in sales and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients with proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
