ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Program Control/Financial Analyst to support our Space Operating group. We offer an excellent salary and benefits package as well as a culture that fosters collaboration and recognition.

This role is remote but must live within the Washington, DC metro area to be within a commutable distance to our Reston, VA office.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of related experience in federal contracts environment. Equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education acceptable.
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint 7, Cognos, and TM1.
  • Strong background in supporting contract management and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced working knowledge of Costpoint, TM1 and Cognos
  • Experience working in a fast paced task order environment
  • Experience completing contract financial management deliverables i:e: NASA 533
  • Work towards graduate degree in related discipline

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all Finance aspects of project execution for a variety of contract types (T&M, CPFF, CPAF, FP, etc.), ensuring that company policies and contractual requirements, terms, and conditions are met.
  • Completes project setup in accounting system, updating Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for new and existing contracts as required to reflect project changes.
  • Analyzes and interprets contract task descriptions with program management and prepare task order pricing responses and cost proposals.
  • Works with shared service functional groups, such as Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Payroll, Accounting, Procurement, Contracts and Subcontracts to ensure all financial aspects of the program are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner.
  • Supports the periodic close process and ensures accurate revenue recognition via the preparation of accruals, calculation of revenue adjustments, and review of month-end reports.
  • Prepares recurring customer financial deliverables in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Participates in the annual planning and budgeting process by providing inputs for the contract. Ensures the accuracy of rolling monthly forecasts for revenue and operating profit. Reviews monthly actuals and provides variance analysis for material overages and shortfalls.
