What will you be doing at ABB?

Do you get excited about developing plastic products and installation cabinets? Are you creative and always looking for ways to make new products safer, more sustainable, and better aligned with the future needs of our customers? Then you've come to the right place.

At ABB, the Product Engineer plays a crucial role in new product development and product improvement. You define the direction, functionality, and design. In the rapidly changing residential and commercial building markets, product development focuses on integration within the entire construction process. Of course, you won't be working alone. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, with the customer at the center.

As a Product Engineer, you’ll be guided by a Senior Product Engineer to get familiar with our organization and working methods. Speed and quality are key. Our Test Engineer will verify whether your design meets all requirements and provide objective reports so you’ll have a clear picture of the delivered quality.

This is how you develop products:

  • You’re passionate about developing plastic products and installation cabinets, and you know how to apply various product development methods.
  • Creativity runs through your veins — the more complex the challenge, the more motivated and driven you become.
  • You are flexible and pragmatic, without compromising on quality.
  • You carefully document the development process, ensuring that design decisions can be traced back later.
  • Sustainability and safety are not optional — they are a given.
  • Product development is a team effort, done in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Since our products are manufactured in high volumes with automated processes, clear and consistent communication is essential to prevent issues.
