At ABB Robotics, you’ll work with the latest robot technologies and visit a wide variety of customer locations. From car factories to high-tech production lines — you make sure our robots keep performing at their best. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what makes this job so exciting!

What will you be doing?

As a Field Service Engineer Robotics, you are the expert who supports our customers with maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimizing robotic systems. You’re the face of ABB at the customer site, working across industries such as automotive, manufacturing, and consumer goods.

Your responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform planned and preventive maintenance on robots and peripheral equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related malfunctions.
  • Optimization & Advice: Advise customers on maintenance and improvements, and implement optimizations where possible.
  • Support & Training: Provide phone support and deliver workshops on maintenance and robot usage.
  • Flexibility: Participate in standby/on-call services, as support is not always needed during office hours.

What do you bring?

  • A completed technical MBO or HBO degree (e.g. in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering).
  • Experience in industrial automation or a strong interest in robotics.
  • An analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
  • A valid driver’s license (you’ll visit clients on site).
  • Willingness to take part in on-call services.
