Job Title: R&D Engineer

Job Description

This Research and Development Engineer role involves assisting in the development of the second-generation Carpal Tunnel Device, slated for launch in the first quarter of 2024. You will collaborate with a lead engineer to achieve accurate and efficient results, focusing on design verification through various testing methods and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct design verification using tensile testing, compression testing, materials testing, and prototype testing.
  • Document testing findings and author continuous improvement reports.
  • Engage hands-on with prototypes and assist with continuous improvement using 3D printing.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed, including line validation and supply chain.
  • Utilize welding and microscopes in the R&D lab.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with medical devices, testing, and prototype development.
  • Proficiency in validation documentation and design verification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D printing, tensile testing, and Keyence equipment.
  • Knowledge of line validation and balloon technology.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks and gage R&R.

Work Environment

The role is fully on-site, working primarily in the R&D lab equipped with test equipment. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge medical device technology, contributing to a company with a strong growth trajectory and significant funding.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
