Job Title: R&D Engineer II

Job Description

This role involves assisting in the development of the 2nd generation Carpal Tunnel Device, aiming for a Q1 2024 launch. The successful candidate will work alongside a lead engineer to deliver accurate and efficient results, primarily focusing on design verification through various testing methods and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the 2nd generation Carpal Tunnel Device.
• Conduct design verification through tensile testing, compression testing, materials testing, and prototype testing.
• Document findings from various tests and experiments.
• Engage hands-on with prototypes and contribute to continuous improvement using 3D printing.
• Provide assistance in other departments as needed, including line validation and supply chain.
• Work mainly in the R&D lab, utilizing welding and microscope equipment.
• Author documents and continuous improvement reports.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in relevant fields.
• Proven experience in medical device testing and prototype development.
• Ability to perform validation documentation and design verification.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with tensile testing, Keyence, and prototyping.
• Familiarity with 3D printing and molding processes.
• Knowledge of line validation and balloons.

Work Environment

The position is fully on-site, working primarily in an R&D lab equipped with test equipment. The role offers hands-on experience with a new medical device design, contributing to a strong growth trajectory.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
