Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in System Architecture and Design for data center platforms.
• Experience with hardware, software, and tooling.
• Experience with systems development and taking platforms from concept to production.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience as a Systems Architect for HPC and ML systems.
• Experience in representing stakeholders during executive-level planning and prioritization discussions.
• Ability to define strategy, drive execution and resolve conflict along with excellent leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills in a fluid environment.

In this role, you will support and strengthen Design for Operations (e.g., Hardware and Software) requirements for the next generation of platforms. You will own strategy and drive execution across a portfolio of projects, ranging from network switches to machine learning pods. You will interface with stakeholders from data center operations, manufacturing, and supply chains to define Design for Operations requirements. You will collaborate with new platform architectures through insights and trade-off analysis with stakeholders from the Hardware Design and Software Architecture teams. You will help mentor a team within operations for in-house skills in platform architecture.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. Responsibilities

• Identify operational risks of the system design to enable deployment and minimize downtime during repairs.
• Mitigate the operational risks through collaboration with partners in Hardware, Software, and Tooling teams.
• Define the trade-offs between systems design and operational excellence to enable decisions, from the engineer level to the executive level.
• Oversee the validation and execution of the system design requirements, from ideation to production.
• Align stakeholders across engaging vectors through communication of updates, escalations, and achievements.
