Engineers and develops Web and mobile applications using Microsoft Power Platforms. Migrates large-scale applications to the Power Platform using Power applications (Canvas). Implements business process workflows and logic using Microsoft Power Automate. Implements systems and data integration using Power Platform connectors (Oracle connector, Office 365 connector, Dataverse, and SharePoint connector). Builds and uses custom connectors and APIs in Power Platform. Designs large-scale databases using Common Data Services, PowerApps Data Flows, and Data Connectors. Develops enterprise-wide applications using Canvas, Model-Driven and Portal technologies in Power Platform that are adaptable to various devices. Deploys applications in Amazon Web Services and Azure Cloud-based environments using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and practices within an Agile environment. Designs programing languages for applications using Java, C#, JavaScript. Analyzes and reports capabilities using Microsoft Power BI.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Defines architecture and designs patterns primarily related to the consistent and efficient integration of common technical and data services into application architectures.
- Analyzes and reports on a large-scale using data management processes (data ingesting, enriching, modeling and workflow).
- Maintains compliance with established software development lifecycle and release process.
- Crafts and designs business and technical services (capabilities) in alignment with business requirements.
- Develops complex or multiple software applications and conducts studies of alternatives to translate divisional initiatives into business solutions.
- Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.
- Participates in architecture design teams.
- Defines and implements application-level architecture.
- Develops applications, components, and subsystems to support division-wide complex projects.
- Recommends development testing tools and methodologies.
- Reviews and validates test plans.
- Ensures QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
- Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
- Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
- Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
- Provides technology solutions to daily issues and estimating technical evaluation requirements for technology initiatives.
- Advises senior management on technical strategy.
- Mentors junior team members.
- Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting divisional initiatives.
- Collaborates with team members, both onshore and offshore, across the IT organization to ensure that solutions are built in accordance with the target state.
- Confers with systems analysts and other software engineers/developers to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing Web application design, development, testing, and implementation of software systems on a cross-functional team using Visual Studio Code, JIRA, GitHub, and Jenkins Core in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing Web application design, development, testing, and implementation of software systems on a cross-functional team using Visual Studio Code, JIRA, GitHub, and Jenkins Core in a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing Serverless Architecture solutions in Azure and AWS Cloud using Serverless Containerized Microservices, Azure Service Bus, and Kafka; and performing systems authentication using Azure Active Directory.
- DE performing role-based access control, observability, and Cloud monitoring, using Azure Monitor, Datadog, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Jenkins Core pipelines; and performing automated package management, trigger builds, and deployment to Kubernetes (EKS and AKS), Azure, and Power applications using Jenkins Core pipelines.
- DE developing enterprise-wide applications using Canvas and Microsoft Power Platform (Model-Driven and Portal technologies); and implementing Business Process Workflows and performing data modeling using Microsoft Power Automate Cloud Flows.
- DE performing REST and SOAP API development using Python, Java, C#, and Node; and tracking code changes and secret management using GIT, Azure Key Vault, Enterprise Hash Key Vault, and CyberArk; and caching using Azure Reddis Cache.
