Educational and Experience Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in related field. Two years relevant administrative experience or experience in a related field. Experience in Higher Education is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Performs administrative support for a multi-year Teacher Pipeline grant and works collaboratively with the certification officer in supporting students working toward teacher certification testing.
Primary Responsibilities
Completes administrative tasks to support the function of the SHSU ACP. Monitors and responds to the shared ACP email, reviews applications to the ACP, collaborates with COE Admissions team, and admits students to the SHSU ACP. Works collaboratively with the Associate Dean over the ACP, the ACP Director, and other stakeholders. Communicates the most accurate and up-to-date information, admissions requirements, and processes to students and College of Education (COE) stakeholders. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requires the ability to operate with a high level of accuracy and perform work of considerable complexity. Must work independently towards general results. Must be able to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, co-workers, students, and administrative staff on and off-campus. Must process and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to learn detailed knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Identify and incorporate continuous changes in federal and state policies and procedures to ensure university and department compliance.
