We are seeking a skilled and versatile New Product Development Technician to join our team in Nashua, NH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both hardware and software development, with the ability to support the design, prototyping, testing, and launch of new products. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware Development & Testing:
  • Assist in the assembly & prototyping of hardware components for new products.
  • Conduct testing and validation of hardware systems, including circuit boards and mechanical assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues, perform diagnostics, and implement solutions to ensure product reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers to refine hardware designs based on test results.
  • Use tools such as oscilloscopes and soldering equipment for hardware assembly and debugging.
  • Managing lab logistics and build-out.
  • Software Development & Integration:
  • Write, debug, and optimize code in languages such as Python, or similar for hardware-software integration and test capability.
  • Ensure integration of software with hardware components, validating performance through testing.
  • Prototyping & Documentation:
  • Build and iterate prototypes to support product development cycles.
  • Document design processes, test results, and technical specifications for hardware and software components.
  • Maintain accurate records of development progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Collaboration & Support:
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to align on project goals and timelines.
  • Provide technical input during brainstorming sessions and design reviews.
  • Quality & Compliance:
  • Ensure products meet quality standards, safety regulations, and industry certifications.

Qualifications:

  • United States citizen.
  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in product development, with exposure to both hardware and software tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with 4G/5G wireless communication systems.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with hardware tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, 3D printers, soldering stations).
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32) and PCB design/testing.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CAD software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FCC, CE, UL).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
