Job Description
Tasks & Responsibilities
The below activities should not be considered a complete list of activities.
- Solution Design: Analyze business requirements and design comprehensive Jira solutions, including project structures, custom fields, workflows, and screen layouts to streamline project management processes.
- Workflow Optimization: Create and refine complex workflows to automate tasks, manage approvals, and ensure smooth project progression
- Integration Management: Integrate Jira with other enterprise systems and tools using APIs and add-ons to create a unified data ecosystem
- System Administration: Manage Jira user permissions, custom schemes, and system settings to maintain data integrity and security
- Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to users on best practices for utilizing Jira features and functionalities.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor Jira performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to maintain system efficiency.
- Standards and Governance: Establish and enforce Jira governance guidelines, including naming conventions, data quality standards, and best practices.
Skills & Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in JIRA solution design.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and design comprehensive Jira solutions.
- Experience in creating and refining complex workflows.
- Extensive knowledge of Jira core features, custom fields, workflows, permissions, schemes, and reporting capabilities.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript), APIs, and integration methods to customize Jira functionalities specifically with Azure DevOps.
- Ability to diagnose complex issues within Jira and develop creative solutions to address them.
- Define and outline best practice processes for Incident Management, Problem Management, Change management, Knowledge management, Release Management, Service catalogue, Critical Incident handling, Asset Management using ITIL foundations as a framework.
