Functions key to success:

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple companies using UKG Pro system.
  • Process short-paid for missing hours in off-cycle payrolls when needed.
  • Work closely with operating companies Human Resources personnel in obtaining, compiling, and processing various sensitive payroll data.
  • Run standard payroll reports and business intelligence reports and resolve exceptions before closing out payroll.
  • Perform step-by-step instruction per the checklist to complete the payroll process.
  • Analyze data from different time and attendance applications (HCSS/ProCore/S123) and reconcile hours before and after the import process.
  • Validate payroll summary, payroll registers, and other payroll reports.
  • Understand overtime rules, shift differential and time off policies for each operating company.
  • Understand employees and employer’s deductions and taxes and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for input and verification of data to support supplemental payroll payments for employees.
  • Respond to payroll inquires; resolving direct deposit issues and W-4 withholding when needed.
  • Assist on proper completion of deduction forms.
  • Enter garnishments information, reconcile deductions account.
  • Edit timesheets for missed or irregular punches, correct paid time off hours.
  • Prepares and distribute payroll reports at end of each payroll.
  • Maintains and protects employees’ records and payroll information confidential.
  • Special project assigned as needed.

What you bring to the table:

You have worked hard to achieve success in your educational and professional career, now put it to use. If you have 3+ years of current payroll processing experience, Proficient in MS Excel v-lookup, pivot-tables, MS Word, MS Outlook, Ability to handle multiple payroll cycles with the same deadline, work well in a Team environment and have experience with UKG is a plus. If the answer is yes, you can check off another box.

Our office is typically quiet with low noise levels; however, you will often hear employees laughing and talking amongst themselves. Effective communication will be key for this role and will require you to talk and hear others. You will probably spend a majority of your time sitting and/or walking around the office, whether to visit a co-worker or make it to a meeting on time and there may be occasional long hours to put in if you are diligently working to complete a project and finish a report. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus, as necessary to use a computer. There could be a time when you may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, but not very often. Finally, there will be some travel that will be required.
