ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
THE ROLE
The Application Development Intern will collaborate with the Development Team by contributing to the design and implementation of software solutions; document code, processes, and procedures for future reference; create and maintain technical documentation for projects worked on; participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards; and perform testing as well as debugging to identify and fix issues.
Pay Considerations
The hourly pay for this position is $15-19 hourly.
Work Schedule
This position is scheduled to work up to 20 hours weekly between Monday and Thursday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., from September 9 to December 18, 2025.
Part-Time/Temporary Position
- This position is a part time/temporary position and does not include health or medical benefits.
- Hours for this position will not exceed 935 per calendar year (see weekly hours for this position under work schedule).

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate would have possess a fundamental understanding of at least one programming language as well as strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; have a basic understanding of data structures and algorithms; demonstrate the ability to collaborate in a team environment as well as the willingness to share ideas and contribute to team discussions; and exhibit strong attention to details as it relates to coding, testing, and documentation.
Preferred Competencies:
- Involvement in personal coding projects or contribution to open-source projects
- Experience collaborating on projects using version control systems in a team environment
- Familiarity with basic database concepts and SQL
- Basic understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CCS, and JavaScript)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Current enrollment in any of the following degree programs: Computer Science, or a related field
- Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
- Recent Graduate (2022-now)
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- A valid Nevada driver’s license
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
