Nokia engineering teams are developing software functionalities in the 5G/6G telecom products and team members are contributing to various feature development life cycle activities (starting with specifications, coding, testing).
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
For ongoing 5G projects, software developers responsibilities relate to following activities:
- create software design for ongoing features, based on software requirements
- developing code using the latest C++ standards (C++14 and onwards)
- developing automated unit tests and software component tests (using Gtest and gmock) and deliver the feature in a CI pipiline
- contribute to specification reviews, code reviews and test plan reviews.
- colaborate with the testing teams and if needed, fix the bugs of the delivered features
- Mentoring and guiding new team members
- Constant learning and self-development
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor/Master’s university degree in computer science or electronics
- Basic knowledge of C++, design patterns, software quality metrics, static code analyzer, black-box testing and white box testing for state machines.
- Basic understanding of Agile development methodologies, test driven development, continuous integration, code coverage
- Fluent in English (both oral and writing)
- Searches to learn continuously and fast, in an ambitious and resourceful way
Nice to have:
- Passion, positive attitude, engagement and desire to take over challenging assignments as part of a team
- Willing to contribute with creative, out-of-the-box solutions
- Quick learner and adaptative to change directions
