Maintain a positive, solutions-focused, and productive attitude in support of plant goals for reliability, safety, integrity, quality, and overall performance.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assemble mechanical components using hand tools, torque wrenches preferred experience , and other equipment.
Utilize forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment to transport components within the facility.
Perform mechanical troubleshooting to identify and address issues during assembly and ensure proper documentation of corrective actions.
Collaborate with team members to solve production challenges and meet daily targets.
Assist with basic maintenance tasks and support engineering or electrical teams when needed.
Maintain accurate production records, including parts assembled and quantities completed.
Complete other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Prior experience using hand tools and operating forklifts
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and safe work practices
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field
Demonstrated experience or prior certification in operating overhead cranes
Familiarity with mechanical fitting in a manufacturing or industrial environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to routinely lift 50+ lbs and transport objects as needed
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, squatting, and climbing
Manual dexterity to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments where temperatures may exceed 100°F or fall below 32°F, including exposure to environmental elements
