Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: San Antonio, TX

Schedule: Onsite/Hybrid

Job Type: 6-month contract to hire

Pay: Up to $27/hr on W2 paid weekly

Job Description

Positions in this function is expected to have excellent reasoning skills based on knowledge of payroll systems. This position reports to the OPS Payroll Team. The OPS Payroll team is responsible for the capturing and processing all exception time and supplemental pay for employed providers. Supplemental pay includes moonlighting, additional hours, on call pay, sign on bonus, stipends, and retention bonuses.

Primary Functional Responsibilities:

  • Enter After/Extended Hour and Walk-In Clinic Timesheets
  • Enter DataRap Attestations CARES Timesheets/Invoices
  • Hospitalist Moonlighting Timesheets/Invoices
  • Enter First/On Call Pay
  • Enter Travel Allowance for Mid-Level Providers.
  • Keep tracking of Bonus and Stipend changes in Smartsheet; Enter the payments according to schedule.
  • Enter provider PTO, Jury Duty, and other exception hours into payroll system.

Requirements (at least 2 years of professional experience):

  • Microsoft Excel experience
  • Payroll experience
  • Data entry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience with data entry analysis, with a focus on payroll systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree (2 or more additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree).
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • GTM Payroll Services experience
  • Medical payroll experience
  • Ability to interact effectively with different business departments, team members, and external clients at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
