Description

This position is responsible for identifying saving opportunities and managing sourcing activities of all kinds of commodity. It includes working within cross⁃functional teams consisting of Brands or Department representatives, global category experts, and functional experts (incl. Finance and Legal).

The scope covers vendors selection including but not limited to managing tender process, bids evaluation, vendor negotiation, tracking deliveries and supplier performance review to drive down the total cost of ownership. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated buyer with managerial skills, highly motivated, positive and a good team⁃player preferably possessing specific sourcing knowledge either in media buying, printing, counters and display construction. This position is also responsible for Purchase Orders creation process, PO compliance and vendors' maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

  • Monitoring and Coordinating Ariba Shopping Carts PO processing, PO compliance reports, vendors and asset lists maintenance

Process Management

  • Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize local sourcing practices well⁃structured and ensure delivery of results
  • Propose any improvement to tools and processes in procure⁃to⁃pay process
  • Maintains repository of local legal agreements to minimizing company risk

Business Strategy/Knowledge

  • Provide support, knowledge, feedback to Affiliate Brand teams for projects driven on a regional or global basis
  • Lead sourcing projects within the country, brands and departments
  • Participate in resolution of any constraints and issues related to purchasing
  • Manage supplier events (e.g., RFI/RFQ/RFPs), their bids evaluations and report result to end users (Finance, GM, Brands...)
  • Measure and track internal procurement performance

Change Management

  • Ability to quickly ramp up and grasp detailed functional content when engaged with other cross⁃functional team members
  • Positively drive changes and ensure goals and processes are moving forward towards excellence

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and establish sources for new technologies and markets as driven by business requirements
  • Identify, select, and pre⁃qualify best in class regional suppliers
  • Measure and manage the overall performance of suppliers implemented with KPIs

Cross⁃Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate within the APAC Procurement teams and local buyer networks
  • Partner with Legal to create risk managed contracts
  • Communicate progress of projects in meeting performance goals. Maintain and issue status reports
  • Keep appropriate parties aware of issues, and escalate issues early and appropriately
  • Ensure that the various departments collaborate within each project to deliver best results

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in relevant area such as operations, technology or business & administration
  • Experience in Marketing service, Event Planning, Activation and retailing corporations or FMCG is preferable
  • Professional purchasing or procurement certification (e.g., ISM CPM) desirable
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience at supervisor level
  • Demonstrated successful results in managing purchasing activities within a market for mix categories
  • Proven ability to manage internal and external parties to ensure successful and professional purchasing activities
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Diplomacy with strong listening and analyzing skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness and openness to change processes
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of vendors in developing countries is an advantage
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of SAP SRM is an advantage
  • Ability to coach and support SAP SRM knowledge to team members
  • Flexible, positive,open-minded, very structured and precise
  • Good teamwork & team player, collaboration skills
