Job Description

A Patient Care Assistant, Student Nurse is an unlicensed assistive provider of nursing care to patients at Kaleida Health. Provides routine nursing care to patients in a hospital setting and performs other duties, as assigned. Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Work is performed in accordance with the policies and regulations of local, state, and federal authorities, as well as accepted standards of practice.

Education And Credentials

High School Diploma or GED required. Current status as RN student in an accredited nursing program required. Completion of one clinical nursing rotation required. A graduate nurse may be placed into this position temporarily after NCLEX failure providing satisfactory employee status until successful NCLEX results required.

Experience

  • For non-clinical positions and nursing support positions, internal and external applicants must have the core competencies and sufficient work experience to perform in the per diem position for which they are applying.**
