Responsibilities:

Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:

  • Provide engineering support for program management execution of a United Stated Air Force (USAF) program. Work with program teams to develop program objectives, integrated roadmaps, detailed schedules, and program budgets.
  • Support the development of technical documentation including, but not limited to, statements of work and specifications, leadership briefs, specific engineering briefs related to the subject matter.
  • Assist in milestone planning, tracking, scheduling, briefing preparations, staff coordination, and decision documentation preparation.
  • Gather data, conduct analyses, evaluation, and validations of acquisition programmatic documentation.
  • Help with the development of integration plans and procedures and organize resources to facilitate program transition activities.
  • Help with the development of and communication of roadmaps for programs and associated technologies and product lines.

In this role, you’ll be bringing exceptional communication and influencing skills to a dynamic team by:

  • Being well-versed in the V-lifecycle development process and have the ability to apply it to both military system and commercial systems.
  • Using your visionary skills to develop operational concepts for high tech systems for the Department of Defense. Defining the system objectives including use cases and operational requirements.
  • Translating requirements to logical, physical, and digital architectures.
  • Crafting functional flow diagrams, requirements specification, interface control documents and presentations to various stakeholders.
  • Taking initiative on relevant tasks for a given program.

Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior year in your collegiate academic studies.
  • Working towards degree in Systems Engineering or another Engineering degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools.
  • Be a self-starter, thrive in a dynamic environment, can accomplish high-level tasks independently, is skilled in problem definition, and work well with other team members.
  • Basic working knowledge of engineering tools such as Cameo, DOORS would be beneficial.
  • Ability to learn new tools and adopt digital engineering business practices.
  • Some experience with collaboration tools including but not limited to: Confluence and/or Jira would be helpful.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly translate client technical needs and assimilate project information.

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
