Summary:
The Marketing Intern will supporting the marketing objectives of The Shaw Group and its divisions, including Shaw US Pipe Fabrication, Shaw MENA Pipe Fabrication, and Shaw Projects & Modules. This dynamic position involves coordinating and executing diverse marketing initiatives across several focus areas: events, social media, graphic design, communications, analytics, and advertising. This role requires a proactive and creative individual with strong organizational skills to support the company’s mission and growth objectives. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will report directly to The Shaw Group’s Marketing and Communications Manager at our Shaw P&M headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Campaign development: Planning, coordinating, and implementing marketing campaigns across various platforms
- Content creation: Writing copy for marketing materials such as social media posts, emails, advertisements, brochures, sales presentations
- Brand management: Ensuring marketing materials align with Shaw’s brand identity
- Communications: Articulating ideas clearly, writing compelling copy, and presenting/distributing information to both internal and external audiences
- Events: Planning and organizing both internal and external events such as trade shows and conferences, client events (golf tournaments, clay shoots, etc.), employee parties, etc.
- Analytics: Gathering analytical data from various platforms and preparing reports for leadership
- Branded Items: Assists with the procurement of branded items for events, employee gifts, etc.
- Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year in a full-time marketing position
- Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Google AdWords (Basic)
- Google Analytics (Basic)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate)
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) (Basic)
- Social Media Platforms (Intermediate)
