We are offering an opportunity to a team oriented and motivated person, who will enrich us with new approaches and ideas, and will actively help with the mechanical design for the next generation Blood Gas & Electrolyte (BGE) System. To our expertise belongs mechanical solutions for product care activities and new developments, as well as close collaboration with other teams, external partners, and centers of excellence.

This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, on site.

The Opportunity

  • Design and maintain 3D CAD models including detailed drawings of individual parts
  • Develop, assemble, and test fluidic-, mechatronic-, thermal modules
  • Develop mechanical part of electromechanical test setups
  • Support the assembly of instrument prototypes and test setups
  • Documenting the work results and unit descriptions.

Who You Are

You have completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of mechanical engineering within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.

Furthermore

  • You have good CAD tool application knowledge, Solidworks preferable.
  • You have a solid understanding of thermal simulation, including heat transfer analysis and thermal management, ideally using tools such as ANSYS or similar simulation software.
  • You are interested in the field of plastics technology; having knowledge of injection molding design is a plus.
  • You want to experience being a part of an agile hardware development team, as you like the independent and structured way of working and you show a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • You have good knowledge of spoken and written English, German is a plus.

  • The preferred start date for the internship is September 2025.

  • Part-time employment is not possible, neither to write a thesis during the internship.
