OVERVIEW:

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Creative Direction

  • Develop a distinctive styling strategy that reflects our brand identity, ensuring consistency and high-quality execution.
  • Lead the styling for seasonal and promotional campaigns, ensuring that all visuals communicate a consistent and compelling brand story.
  • Create mood boards with strong visuals and highlight best-in-class examples from top brands like Nike, Adidas Originals, Free People and Gramicci to inspire elevating our work.
  • Efficient Workflow: Build efficient processes for styling product shoots, ensuring that products are styled, shot, and ready for use in a timely manner to meet marketing and promotional deadlines.

Brand Strategy Alignment

  • Maintaining Brand Consistency: Ensure that all styled imagery, from product pages to campaigns, adheres to brand guidelines, including tone, color schemes, and overall aesthetic. This involves collaborating with the art director to review final images to confirm they are in line with the brand’s visual identity before publication.
  • Establish clear guidelines for product styling that align with the company’s brand vision, ensuring consistency across all products and categories on the website, social and owned channels
  • Lead the styling for seasonal and promotional campaigns, ensuring that all visuals communicate a consistent and compelling brand story. Demonstrate the ability to think holistically about styling, encompassing not only the primary products but also complementary accessories, with a focus on advancing our styling techniques and trends.

Leading Collaboration of Key Partners

  • Foster a collaborative environment by integrating input from Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development teams into a cohesive styling narrative that aligns with campaign storytelling.
  • Post-Shoot Review: Collaborate with the art director to review product imagery to ensure consistency and quality, conducting re-shoots when necessary to maintain high standards, supporting the art director in model selection and styling POV’s.
  • On-Model and Off-Model Styling: collaborate with the art director on casting + model selection for campaign, ecommerce and product storytelling shoots. Create on-brand looks that resonate with the target audience. For off-model imagery, style products in flat-lay or still-life formats to highlight product details and attributes.

Trend Analysis

  • Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to bring fresh ideas to styling while staying true to the brand's identity.
  • Ability to track and interpret fashion trends across a wide range of demographics, including fashion, teen, golfer, and team sports athletes, while also identifying opportunities to evolve our current styling approach.
  • Stay ahead of fashion and styling trends, incorporating emerging looks and cultural references into styling concepts.

Developing Talent and Teammate Engagement

  • Build effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
  • Manage execution responsibilities and workload of direct/indirect reports to achieve functional deliverables on time and with quality.
  • Provide direct reports with timely and regular feedback to support teammate development/ growth in role.
  • Develop talent on your team to meet both their career goals and the organization’s goals
  • Establish strategic staffing and succession plans; successfully deliver on proposed staffing objectives.
  • Drive the talent selection process in alignment with the company’s talent philosophy for open direct/indirect reporting positions; Ensure all direct reports are appropriately trained and on-boarded.
  • Drive engagement by creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives; focus on voice of teammate data (e.g., Engagement & Pulse results), partnering with organization leadership to drive necessary changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Marketing
  • 7-10 years experience
  • A keen eye for fashion trends and the ability to translate these into on-brand styling decisions.
  • Enthusiastic, positive energy and able to work well under pressure
  • Highly organized team player
  • Flexible and able to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with merchandising and creative teams.
  • Passion for an active lifestyle, with a finger on the pulse of current trends within the space across men’s and women’s. A strong sense of fashion design is necessary
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure consistent visual presentation across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to travel for shoots.
