Aufgaben

1. Component localization of cooling/thermal system

• Technical support to joint venture BBAC RD, regarding the localized Cooling system components of all locally produced MB vehicles, support engineering change implementation throughout product lifecycle.
• Work with MP China and RD Germany to further evaluate technical feasibility of open sourcing supplier in China
• System level interface to BBAC during project ramp up phase, coordinate global and local resource to solve and analyse system level malfunctions.
• Act as the window person between joint venture plant and RD HQ, provide technical support for production engineering issues.

2. Component development responsibilities for China specific cooling/thermal system components:

• Overall responsible for cooling system localization according to Mercedes-Benz Development System (MDS)
• Support HQ develop department to release component drawing, 3D model together with suppliers, including technical documentation of Engineering Changes.
• Confirm PV testing items and implementation, support components PPAP release.
• Support purchasing/quality department for local supplier nomination & development.

3. Overall Vehicle testing, such as summer/winter test and chamber/durability test, etc. and drive system level topics solving, track the affected components internally until the issues solved.

4. Communicate with China requirement and marketing team to analyse the technical trends/availability and China strategy, e.g. air quality.

5. Working together with Field Quality organization on Chinese market issues.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in mechanical or automotive engineering
• Graduates with first experience in automotive industry (e.g. internships) as well as applicants with minimum 7-8 years work experience at OEMs or suppliers
• Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills. Overseas study or work experience preferred, German language preferred
• Computer skills mandatory, including Windows, Office, CAx (Simens NX)
• Solid knowledge in thermal & cooling system, as well as the core components), such as HVAC, e-Compressor, Heaters, Radiator & Condenser, etc.
• Self-responsible working attitude and independent problem-solving skills
• Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• High commitment for automobiles and agility in diversified working packages
• Willingness to travel inside China and abroad to prepare and support launches and issue solving at suppliers
