Job Responsibilities
- Watch monitors for dysrhythmia and identify the rhythm strips at least every 12 hours and report any major arrhythmia to appropriate coordinator or designee.
- Provide direction and assistance to visitors.
- Assemble new patient charts, replace charting material, maintain organized medical records, and place computer lab sheets on the appropriate patient chart.
- Communicate well with peers, physicians, visitors, volunteers and other disciplines. Answer the intercom or telephone in a timely manner and refer calls to the appropriate individual.
- Oversee the transportation of patients to and from the correct diagnostic department and oversee transportation for discharged patients. This includes but is not limited to: preparing chart and securing help when needed.
- Oversee the disbursement of new individual cards for patient charges on a daily basis.
- Assist physicians with charts and records.
- Maintain the electronic medical record for each patient by accurately and timely entering all patient demographics in the electronic medical.
- Maintain the nurse’s station in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Inventory and order office supplies and forms on the nursing unit and keep them readily accessible for physicians and staff.
- If applicable, must function as testing personnel under CLIA1988 regulations as they relate to point of care testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent

- Minimum: Related experience or nurse aide experience 1 year

Qualifications
Education
Preferred
GED or better in Other.
High School or better in Other.
