Job Profile Summary

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Provides primarily pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:

General supervision of work with assignments that require a thorough and practical knowledge of the technical or business discipline. May be assigned to small projects or to phases/portions of larger projects. Proficient with tools, systems, and procedures required by the work. Understands and applies most principles, theories, concepts, and techniques utilized in the discipline. Developing experience in the applicable discipline in solution creation and increasing business knowledge. Provides resolution to various problems of moderately complex scope. Exercises judgment in the use of defined procedures and practices. Has mastered most of the basic job responsibilities. Contacts are typically with other members of the team, management, and/or outside the immediate organization. Failure to achieve goals may require additional resources to correct. Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 year’s experience, or Masters with 0-1 year’s, or its equivalent.
