Air Liquide's Business Service Center (BSC) comprises a dedicated unit (including people, processes and technologies) that is structured as a centralized point of service focused on defined business functions. Initially the BSC will support the North America (‘NAM’) cluster and will take on support of the Latin America (‘LATAM’) cluster in a later phase.

Air Liquide's Shared Services workforce is a dedicated team of people who provide services that have previously been found in more than one part of the organization or group; thus, the funding and resourcing of the service is shared and the providing department effectively becomes an internal service provider.

Position Summary

The Controllership Analyst reports directly to the BSC Controller Lead. The primary function and purpose of this position is to control and monitor the company costs and following the deviations of the budget contributing with the financial objectives achievement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Data gathering and analyzing for the main costs associated with the entity.
  • Monitoring and controlling all of the financial figures in order to achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and making recommendations if it is necessary.
  • Monitoring all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participation and supporting in the accounting closing of the entity
  • Coordinate the invoicing process with the entities according to the cost allocation.
  • Support with Budget preparation and proper follow up.
  • Share Financial KPIs of the entity and saving tracking.
  • P&L by entity and Headcount analysis.
  • Support with HRT project cost control.
  • Find new ways to improve the efficiency of the process. Makes recommendations and participates in the decision-making process regarding process improvement.
  • Participates in the promotion of Air Liquide's safety objectives. Knows and follows all procedures as outlined in Air Liquide's Quality Manual.

Education

  • Finance, Accounting, or Business Management degree preferred

Language Requirements

  • English language proficiency is required. [B2]

Knowledge and Skills

  • 2+ years experience in controllership, accounting or reporting.
  • Knowledge of Oracle a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Google Suites
  • Knowledge of Power BI a plus.
  • Continuous improvement mindset for process improvements
  • Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
