  • This position is eligible for OITS's hybrid work program. The candidate must work in the office three days a week. The supervisor and business needs will determine the hybrid schedule.

Compensation:

  • Annual Salary/Hourly Rate: $90,500 to $104,000 annual

Note: Salary can vary depending upon education, experience, or qualifications

Position Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Manager will work in the Office of Information Technology Services (OITS) reporting to the Deputy Chief Technology Officer providing services and solutions in support of OITS Infrastructure Service group including, managed Data Center, on-premises Data Center, Active Directory services, and OITS hosted Agency server solutions. Manage multiple teams including daily operations and oversees the deployment of IT resources. Prioritizes the implementation of IT strategies that aligns with business objectives while managing risks. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and IT security best practices. Engage and communicate effectively, written and verbally, with stakeholders at all levels.

The IT Infrastructure Manager will lead, guide, and enhance the support of OITS Infrastructure Service Group in supporting OITS Agency customers and Executive Branch Agency services. Responsibilities include coordinating with OITS teams, Agency teams, and State solution partners in support and administration of solutions supporting the OITS and Agency environment(s). Will support technical teams on problem resolution, design, upgrades, and tasks with Infrastructure, Data Center, Active Directory services, and x86 server solutions. Additionally, will drive input to establish short-term and long-term strategic needs for the OITS Agency Infrastructure, Data center, Active Directory services, and x86 server solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience
    • managing Microsoft server operating systems
    • utilizing PowerShell in configuration and administration of Microsoft solutions
    • understanding of Kerberos and NLTM, LDAP and SAML protocols
    • utilizing managed services in providing for customer needs
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft environments (Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025 OS) and an in-depth understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and its components in an enterprise environment
  • In-depth understanding of Active Directory Replication, DNS, Site Links, Site Topology, Group Policy, Global Catalogs and other core infrastructure components required
  • Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of Active Directory and Microsoft analysis and administration activities
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments, both Server and Client based
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with Agency technical teams and Agency leadership and business unit management when required
  • Preferred experience with multi-forest Active Directory environments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology Management, or related field; a combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted when competency in the role is demonstrated.
  • One year experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Three years’ experience in a related IT role
  • Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is preferred

Necessary Special Requirements: Ability to obtain and retain an OITS Security and KCJIS clearances are requirement of employment and continued employment.
