Responsible for designing, optimizing, and delivering cost-effective test hardware for automotive microcontroller testing while ensuring efficiency.
Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Accountable for the entire Test Hardware Development Flow, encompassing design specification, design implementation, design review, design sign-off, incoming buy-off, debugging, troubleshooting, and follow-up support, specifically for Automotive Microcontroller Testing.
- Design both Production Test Hardware (e.g., Probe card, Load board, Burn-in Board) and Characterization Test Hardware.
- Ensure OTD (On-Time-Delivery) and FTR (First-Time-Right) of Test Hardware
- Optimize Test Hardware for cost-effectiveness while maintaining high performance and reliability.
- Innovate and develop methodologies to improve Test Hardware design efficiency.
- Collaborate with Test Hardware design and manufacturing suppliers to optimize cost and reduce lead times.
- Work closely with Test Engineers and Test Concept Engineers to define and refine Test Hardware specifications.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with a preference for candidates with >3 years of relevant experience in product or test engineering. Hands-on experience in ATE Test Hardware design will be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of various ATE tester platforms (e.g., V93K,UltraFLEX, ETS, J750, etc.) and their associated instruments.
- Familiarity with the ATE Test Hardware Development Workflow, including Probe card and Load board design.
- Proficient in Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), high-speed digital design, and high-voltage Test Hardware design. Knowledge of simulation techniques and thermal/mechanical design will be advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro or similar).
- Good understanding of IC development cycles (design, test, validation validation, etc.) and IC production processes (wafer processing, production test, quality and reliability, yield, etc.).
- Hands-on skills in ATE test programming (e.g., V93K).
- Proficient in using UNIX systems, MS Office, and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Open mindset for innovation and optimization.
- Proven experience in ATE Test Hardware design, review, sign-off, and buy-off (e.g., Probe card and Load board).
- Hands-on experience with automotive SoC microcontrollers and their applications.
- Active participation in 1st Silicon (Si) bring-up and debug, as well as test time improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
