Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an ambitious Lead Intern to join our world-class System Engineering team in Brno, Česko. As a Lead Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to demonstrate exceptional work behaviors and contribute to innovative projects alongside a team of skilled engineers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be a part of an international Research and Development team working on cutting edge electron microscopy solutions
- Contribute to design, prototyping, productization and validation of various modules and subsystems such as vacuum, vibrations, electron and ion beam delivery, detection and spectroscopy
- Collaborate with diverse international teams to successfully implement engineering projects
- Work in an office as well as in a lab environment. Perform experimental work on hardware prototypes
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports for future reference
Job Requirements:
- University-level education in Physics, Engineering or a related field
- Strong technical skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Experience in programming and/or scripting in modern frameworks such as Python
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ambitious and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow
