The Role

As a Cybersecurity Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals across key areas of our security program. This hands-on role will provide exposure to core domains such as:

  • Vulnerability Management: Assist in scanning, analyzing, and tracking remediation efforts for infrastructure and application vulnerabilities using industry-leading tools.
  • Application Security: Learn how secure development practices are implemented on a scale. Participate in threat modeling, static/dynamic code analysis, and code reviews.
  • Penetration Testing: Support internal red team activities. Learn how ethical hacking is used to simulate real-world threats and uncover security gaps.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with engineers and analysts to triage and manage vulnerabilities across multiple platforms.
  • Contribute to secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices by working with developers and AppSec experts.
  • Assist in penetration testing activities, from planning and execution to reporting and remediation guidance.
  • Participate in internal training, labs, and capture-the-flag (CTF) exercises.
  • Present findings and improvement suggestions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • A current or recently graduated Georgia Tech student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiar with basic cybersecurity concepts, networks, operating systems, and/or scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • Passionate about security and eager to learn through hands-on experience.
  • A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
