Our Team

The Connected Mobility Solutions (CMS) business unit at Molex is at the forefront of developing innovative automotive connectivity products. Our Manufacturing Integration team, based in Guadalajara, Mexico, focuses on building modular, flexible, and cost-effective manufacturing processes to support our growing pipeline of new product launches. You'll join a collaborative, forward-thinking team committed to continuous improvement and excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in DFA/DFM activities along with cross functional team. Provide manufacturing plant’s feedback based on lessons learned and continuous improvement efforts. Work with front office MIE to put together manufacturing strategy.
  • Design and develop engineering projects based on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Scrap, OEE, QNs, and audit or evaluation findings.
  • Closely monitor ongoing processes for performance, ensuring initial planning is met and requirements are adhered to.
  • Provide technical help, as needed, with managing production runs to optimize or assess improvements in tooling or technologies
  • Work with equipment vendors to during equipment design, development, testing and qualification. Collaborate & apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. Actively contribute to equipment FAT and SAT runs.
  • Participate in equipment design reviews. Solicit observations from operators and technicians.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
  • Keep communication between the plant and the front office MIE and CFT teams up to date. Serve as a voice of BU and front office MIE in the plant.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related engineering discipline).
  • Proven experience in manufacturing process design, with solid knowledge of assembly processes such as screwing, soldering, dispensing, crimping, and welding.
  • Proven experience in automation design and processes, with familiarity with automation elements like sensors, PLCs, vision systems, and robots.
  • Proven experience in designing and/or reviewing mechanical equipment, fixtures, and tooling concepts using CAD software.
  • Advanced conversational English skills for international collaboration.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%, including potential international travel.
