The focus of this internship will be targeting the study of the performance limits of current and upcoming unlicensed spectrum technologies, mainly Wi-Fi 8.

Position: PhD Research Internship: 3D-Networks

Location: Stuttgart, Germany

Education Recommendation: Engineering, Telecommunications or Information Technology

Type of work: Partially Home-Office possible

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Would you like to gain practical experience in the following areas?

• Perform analysis of given problems in 3D-Networks
• Investigate and propose new solutions to improve UAV connectivity and coverage performance in 3D-networks
• Develop defined software blocks within simulation tool
• Simulate problems and solutions with system simulation tool

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Are you that person with this background?

• Good understanding of wireless communications system, in particular 5G/6G
• Proven experience in UAV research
• Ability to write code in MATLAB, Python or C/C++
• Understanding of AI/ML techniques for wireless communications and UAVs
