Are you passionate about driving innovation in electronics manufacturing? As a Process Development Engineer - Chemical Engineering, you'll lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop cutting-edge methods and processes that meet customer needs and drive business success.

We're seeking a skilled Process Development Engineer - Chemical Engineering to develop and optimize surface conditioning and characterization processes in electronics manufacturing, working closely with power electronics teams to drive quality improvements.

In your new role you will:

  • Development of methods and processes for conditioning and characterization of different surfaces interaction for electronics manufacturing
  • Development of practical and cost-efficient solutions, meeting customer needs, in the area of corrosion protection
  • Participation in root cause failure analysis to identify corrosion mechanisms or other material related issue and establish inspection programs to monitor those mechanisms
  • Systematic investigation of influencing variables for surface cleaning and dispensing & glueing process optimization, stabilization and quality improvement, using established tools such as DoE, 6 sigma, SPC / APC, FMEA
  • In this position you are both project manager and member of interdisciplinary teams
  • Active technical support for cleaning & dispensing processes of power electronics manufacturing, including further development of existing processes and introduction of new processes in industrial series production
  • Contribution to the achievement of KPI goals (Cpk, OEE, Yield, external and internal customer complaints)

To excel in this role, you'll need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication of complex technical information in surface conditioning and characterization processes. You should be able to work collaboratively, lead projects, and drive quality improvements in electronics manufacturing.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • You have successfully completed a university degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials sciences, physics or related fields
  • You have relevant professional experience in the field of surface contaminations and cleaning processes, polymer and metamaterials, corrosion, electro-chemical migration, analysis methods
  • Ideally, you have some professional experience in process development or project management, and fresh graduates are also welcome
  • You can communicate safely in Hungarian and English
