Purpose

This position is an entry level/back-office credit operations position in support of the company’s credit analysts and managers. The candidate will learn and contribute to the results of the credit department. The ideal candidate will have a good demeanor, great attitude, ability to learn and ask questions, detail oriented, motivated, and creative, able to “think outside the box”.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

  1. Essential Functions
  2. Provide the participant with basic skills in credit analysis, terms negotiation, loss mitigation, and the role of credit in sales.
  3. Gain an understanding of & the purpose of our Credit Policy so to further understand how it affects credit decisions.
  4. Gather pertinent credit information to support credit assessments.
  5. Assist credit analysts with reviewing and spreading financial statement figures utilizing Ravago’s credit management tool.
  6. Prepare credit reports and distribute to credit team to support decision-making as well as daily and weekly activities.
  7. Attend and observe credit meetings as needed.
  8. Work with accounts receivable personnel learning about aging management
  9. Assist with sales order reviews
  10. Work with internal and external customers to resolve deductions
  11. Review credit memos and determine proper course of action, applications of credits
  12. Handle customer specific mail in accordance with direction from supervisor
  13. Manage miscellaneous incoming requests from customers
  14. All other duties as assigned

  9. Proactive, can work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

  1. Education:
    1. University student working towards a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience preferred
  2. Experience:
    1. 0-1 years of experience preferred
  3. Licenses / Certifications:
    1. Valid driver’s license – required
  4. Language:
    1. Proficiency in English required
    2. Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
